This little gem just showed up and we had to share it with you. It is a mini climbing tractor made by the Louis Marx and Company of New York sometime in the late 1950s to early 60s. The litho paint on it is in superb condition very bright with minimal wear. The only thing it is missing is its original box.
This little guy needs a new home and can purchased at indypicker.com. This would be a great addition to a collection or as a starter and just in time for Christmas this year.
Louis Marx and Company made some the best toys from 1919 to 1980 when the last United States plant was closed. Marx was the initial inductee into the Toy Industry Hall of Fame. During the 1920s 100 million Marx yoyo's were sold. Marx tin litho toys included windup toys, trains, cars and even airplanes. The also created play sets during the 1950s and 60s based on popular TV shows. Some Marx toys can reach very high 3 figure price tags.
